Chapter Mileage Program

CHAPTER MILEAGE PROGRAM

Mission Statement:

This program exists for the purpose of encouraging the members of the H.O.G. Chapter to increase their ride frequency, record and submit their mileage, and join with others to achieve a cumulative Chapter total of one million miles or more. These actions will be accomplished using various tools such as Participation Awards, Chapter, individual and group rides, verbal encouragement, increased enrollment, H.O.G. Call annoucements and the enthusiasm created by previous successes.

Duration:

The current year’s Mileage Program begins with the ending of the previous season’s effort. The last day to turn in mileage is Dec. 1st. The ending mileage of each of our members' motorcycles will be the starting mileage of record for the next year's efforts.

Eligibility:

All members (with the exception of passengers) of St. Charles H.O.G. are eligible to participate. Only Harley-Davidson bikes are permitted in this activity. This is mandated by Harley-Davidson Corp. so that our efforts may be included in the nationwide mileage program. Members can register as many of their Harleys as they want.  Mileage records will be recorded for each one. Rental bikes can have their mileage recorded as well when the rental agreement paperwork is shown to members of the Mileage Team.

Registration:

All bikes registered must have their VIN numbers recorded. If you completed last year’s Mileage Program, you are already enrolled in this year’s program. Any member who fails to complete the Mileage Program for the following year and must re-register their Harley's to participate in that year's program. Anyone adding a new bike to the Mileage Program  must present the VIN and mileage. If selling or trading in a bike currently registered in the Program, please notify any member of the Mileage Team of the mileage on the bike leaving the program so that it may be included in your yearly mileage total. All members enrolled in Chapter Mileage Program, including new participants, who have submitted thier VIN and mileage throught emails or text must permit a visual verification of their VIN(s) and mileage(s) at any time through the year at the request of any Member of the Mileage Team. Your participation token will be issued to you at that time. Your registration records are available to review at the H.O.G. Call meetings or when the Mileage Team is available at the dealership.

Mileage Submissions

                                                     Part of the Mileage Program is the Mid-Season Mileage Check-in. The intent of this is to provide our Chapter with a “How are we doing?” view of our progress towards the One Million Mile goal. Further details of this action will be communicated as the date draws near.

Awards for Mileage

All riders who complete the Mileage Program by submitting their final mileage will receive a Participation Token and a record card after the Mileage Program has ended. Plaques will be awarded to the top two high mileage Male and Female riders. The top Male and Female rider with the most miles will have their names added to the Recognition Plaque that is on display at St. Charles Harley Davidson. The remaining participants not receiving plaques will be eligible for additional awards based on their total mileage plus their participation in the program. All riders who completed the Mileage Program with 10,000 or more miles for that year will be recognized at the HOG Call and in the Newsletter.
